Keep Watering Your Garden in Winter—Even When It’s Cold!
Just because it’s getting colder doesn’t mean it’s time to put your garden hose away. Your plants are still thirsty! If the ground isn’t frozen and you’re not getting enough rain or snow to soak the soil, perennials and overwintering annuals will need supplemental watering to make it through winter—even if they aren’t actively growing.
