My third book, The Backyard Fire Cookbook: Get Outside and Master Ember Roasting, Charcoal Grilling, Cast-Iron Cooking, and Live-Fire Feasting, was released in May 2019 as a follow-up to The New Camp Cookbook.
This time, I bring it home with easy recipes that focus on wood-fired cooking at home, covering various techniques using embers, planchas, foil packets, cast-iron pans, and Dutch ovens.

It was an underdog title at the time—an unproven concept—but quickly went on to become a bestseller and has since inspired dozens of other gourmet camp-themed cookbooks on the market today. This is the original that started it all!

Out of print. This special edition was a paperback compilation of the best recipes from The New Camp Cookbook and The Backyard Fire Cookbook. It was published in April 2021 as a limited run and sold at select mass retailers.
