Best Amazon Prime Day deals for gardeners

Disclosure: If you shop from my article or make a purchase through one of my links, I may receive commissions on some of the products I recommend.

If you haven’t heard, Amazon Prime Day is happening this year on July 11 and 12, 2023. It’s a massive sale on Amazon (bigger than Black Friday) with hundreds of thousands of items offered at discounted prices.

I’m a Prime member (you have to be to get these deals) and I’ve been shopping Amazon Prime Day for years, scooping up all sorts of sales for things I’ve been saving up for. Nearly half my tool shed probably came from various Prime Days!

(And if you know tools, you know all those “toys” add up quickly! Wait, did I just refer to home improvement tools as toys? I’m blaming new homeownership pride for that. 😉)

I recently learned it’s possible to find some of these extreme savings and rare deals in advance, and I’ve been checking Amazon the last couple weeks and adding things to my shopping cart that are too good to pass up. I’m sharing these finds with you as I think you might like to know about them too.

How to shop the sale

Amazon Prime Day starts on Tuesday, July 11 at 12:01 am and ends on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:59 pm.

To take advantage of Amazon Prime Day, you must be a Prime Member. You can sign up here for a free 30-day trial.

It’s a fantastic service—I use my Prime membership for free two-day shipping, Try Before You Buy (a lifesaver for trying on kids’ clothes without trekking to the store with littles in tow), Prime VideoAmazon Music, and Amazon Photos (for unlimited photo storage).

Because I’m a longtime Amazon partner (meaning I earn commissions from qualifying purchases through the links in this post), I also have the honor of giving away two $500 Amazon.com gift cards to two lucky followers! Keep reading to the end to find out how to enter for your chance to win.

My favorite Amazon Prime Day picks for your yard and garden

Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller – If you’re looking for a smart sprinkler controller that automatically adjusts your watering schedule to the current local weather conditions, this is the one to get.

Spartan Mosquito Pro Tech DIY Mosquito Killer – Just fill each tube with warm water and hang it on a tree to get rid of mosquitoes. This set includes four tubes that cover up to 1 acre.

Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent – If you’re battling wildlife pests in your garden, this ready-to-use formula (which comes with its own sprayer) is a safe and easy way to keep them out.

Sun Joe Electric High Pressure Washer – Every household needs a good pressure washer!

Vivosun Grow Bags – Fabric pots result in healthier root systems, and you can stock up on these grow bags in many sizes from 1 gallon to 30 gallons. (I recommend the 25- or 30-gallon size for growing indeterminate tomatoes. This brand is also a top pick in my guide to the best grow bags.)

INNAV8 Thumb Control Hose Nozzle – During Amazon Prime Day, I like to stock up on hose nozzles (because embarrassingly, I’m pretty hard on nozzles) and thumb control types are my favorite for ease of watering. (This one is also a top pick in my guide to the best hose nozzles.)

EGO Power+ Tools – We just switched most of our yard tools to the EGO line (since we have an awesome EGO snow blower) and love the quality, the high-capacity batteries, and the many offerings in the line.

EGO Power+ Pole Saw and Power Head – I’ve been building up my collection of cordless power tools, and really like how everything in the EGO line uses the same batteries (so you can swap seamlessly between different yard tools).

EGO Power+ Select Cut XP Lawn Mower – For small to medium lawns, an electric mower is so easy to operate and gets the job done without the noise, gas, oil, and expensive tuneups. I definitely recommend getting another battery or two, especially if you use other EGO tools.

Worx Folding Work Table and Sawhorse – My husband has had this work table for several years and it’s super useful, on top of being durable, portable, and versatile.

Vivo Home Steel Garden Cart with Liner – Infinitely useful for carrying potted plants, bags of soil amendments, tools, and other garden gear around the yard.

Amazon Basics Folding Outdoor Utility Wagon – I have various types of wagons in the yard for all kinds of tasks, but this one travels the most with us, as it folds up fairly well and is perfect for hauling things to the beach.

Amazon Basics Zero Gravity Chair Set – I’ve been looking for lightweight zero gravity chairs to bring on camping trips, and finally these are on sale! It’s such a screamin’ deal for two chairs and a side table. I just bought the blue set.

Cantilevered Patio Umbrella – I’m currently shopping for a large umbrella for my deck and have my eye on this one, as this brand gets great reviews.

Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 – I bought the Bonfire when it first came out a few years ago and loved using it while shooting The Backyard Fire Cookbook. Now we love the Solo Stove (and especially this size) for tailgating and backyard gatherings.

Yeti Tundra Cooler – If you’ve been eyeing one of these expensive rotomolded coolers, you can finally snag one during Amazon Prime Day. The purple one is 30% off!

More home and electronics deals I’m liking for 2023

Bissell Little Green Multipurpose Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – We have a white couch (purchased before we ever had kids) and this upholstery cleaner works like magic on spills and stains. Read the reviews on this one; they’re impressive!

Eufy by Anker Slim RoboVac – We’ve owned this robot vac for a few years (after also owning a couple of Roombas) and have to say that this one is our favorite by far! We run it at least twice a week and it really helps keep dust down.

Black + Decker Cordless Handheld Vacuum – We have one of these in the RV (that I use almost daily on camping trips) but a dust buster is useful anywhere in the house!

EF EcoFlow Portable Power Station – Every home needs a portable generator for emergencies, and this one is compact enough to store easily. You can even bring it camping!

Utopia Premium Velvet Hangers – Last year I finally got tired of the mishmash of plastic, wire, and wooden hangers in the closet I share with my husband, and swapped them all out for these velvet hangers which I love.

Swedish Wholesale Dish Cloths – These dish cloths (essentially thin sponges) are perfect for wiping down the kitchen. They’re like paper towels, but way better (and reusable!).

FEBU Swedish Dish Cloths – This is another brand of dish cloths I like because the patterns are so cute!

Ninja Professional Blender – We’ve had an older version of this Ninja blender for over 10 years, and it still performs like new.

Ninja Air Fryer XL – I had this until I upgraded to the Ninja Foodi 14-In-1 Smart Pressure Cooker, which is fantastic (and also on sale for Prime Day!).

Crock Pot Cook & Carry Slow Cooker – Despite having the Ninja Foodi, I’m also kind of longing for something simpler (and smaller) to use. I think this slow cooker would be a worthy investment so I can bring my favorite overnight pulled pork to potlucks. (The lid locks in place for transport!)

Aura Carver Digital Picture Frame – I originally purchased Aura frames as gifts for my parents and my in-laws, and loved them so much that I had to get them for our own house. The images are super vibrant and hi-res, and we can upload new photos to all the frames we’re connected to in the Aura app. That way, Grandma and Grandpa can see a rotating display of all the kiddos’ new adventures each month!

Anker Portable Charging Hub – This is a great little USB hub to keep on a desk for charging all your gadgets. I have several Anker products and they’ve never let me down.

Anker Charging Station and Compact Power Strip – I just added this power strip to my cart. It’s so sleek and portable and perfect for traveling! I like how it includes two outlets as well as USB-C and USB-A ports.

Sony Bluetooth Portable Travel Speaker – I purchased the coral color in last year’s Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and I’ve been loving this speaker for camping and road trips! It’s truly waterproof and has great sound in a small package.
