I don’t know how this month has flown by so fast, but Black Friday will be here this week! (Our family celebrated early this year and just hosted a big “Thanksmas” dinner at our house, so we’re looking forward to a low-key Thanksgiving weekend and heading into the forest to cut down our Christmas tree.)

If you’re like me, you probably like to skip the frenzy of Black Friday/Cyber Monday and get all your holiday shopping done early.

Well, I’ve got good news: Amazon is already featuring tons of early Black Friday sales online so you can take your time going down your gift-giving list.

Disclosure: If you shop from my article or make a purchase through one of my links, I may receive commissions on some of the products I recommend.

Best early Black Friday garden deals

Barrina LED Grow Lights – If you’re already thinking ahead to seed starting next season, these full-spectrum grow lights are a great deal. (I own the same ones.) Once you start seeds under grow lights, you’ll never go back to just putting them in a window.

Organic Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit – I’ve been gifted a couple of these kits in the past, and they’re a really fun way to experiment with growing mushrooms without all the mess or the work of inoculating logs outside. There’s also a pink oyster mushroom kit.

Barebones Cowhide Cold-Weather Gloves – I own and love a non-insulated pair of Barebones cowhide gloves, and I want to try this style next. It has an elastic cuff, suede reinforced panels, and thicker material for heavier-duty tasks around the yard.

Barebones Hand Trowel – Do you need to replace your basic gardening trowel? I love this unique minty green option from a reliable company that makes high-quality tools. (They’re also running deals on their mint green soil scoop and mint green weeding fork.)

Fiskars Micro-Tip Pruning Shears – These micro-tip pruners are super useful for cutting herbs, flowers, and other thin stems, and they’re small enough to fit in a pocket.

Fiskars Extendable Tree Trimmer and Pole Saw – We own this 2-in-1 pruner and pole saw and use it for trimming all the large trees on our property. It extends up to 12 feet and still feels very stable.

Ecowitt Wittboy Pro Weather Station – I love our weather station for monitoring the weather in our yard. If you’ve never owned one, this is a good place to start. You can eventually add other accessories (like this soil moisture meter, which transmits data to the weather station) to get a clearer picture of how your garden responds in different conditions.

Govee Bluetooth Remote Thermometer – I tuck a few of these remote hygrometers/thermometers in my low tunnels to monitor humidity and temps in winter. They don’t need wifi to work and they connect to an app where you can view a history of the data.

Worx Electric Leaf Mulcher – If you missed the original Amazon Prime Day Deal for my favorite leaf mulcher, it’s back on sale so you can tackle that pile of fall leaves!

EGO Power+ Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower – We don’t have this yet, but we need one to start tackling our unruly lawn next summer. An electric mower is ideal since it’s much quieter and cleaner than a traditional gas-powered mower.

EGO Power+ Cordless Leaf Blower – A must-have to keep your yard and driveway tidy. My husband has even used this to blow snow off our porch.

EGO Power+ Cordless Hedge Trimmer – The powerful motor and sharp blade can handle the thickest shrubs. What I love about the whole EGO line is that their high-capacity batteries are interchangeable between tools.

Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellent – If it feels like you’re growing plants just to feed all the deer and rabbits in your yard, this repellent will keep them away.

Run-Chicken Automatic Coop Door – I’ve been using this automatic pop door for years and it’s completely freed me from having to walk outside every morning and every evening to let my chickens in and out of their coop. They now have a solar-powered version too.

Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 with Stand – I already own the original Bonfire, but now I’m lusting after the green version! I find this size to be perfect for up to eight adults to sit around.

Best early Black Friday home deals

Bissell TurboClean Carpet Cleaner – Here’s the story on this vacuum: Right after we moved into our brand-new house (with brand-new white carpet), we found a bunch of dirty footprints embedded in the fibers. A professional carpet cleaning company came out, steamed our carpets, sprayed stain remover twice on the stains, and still couldn’t get them out. With nothing to lose, we bought this carpet cleaner (with the Bissell Pro Deep Clean Formula) and IT TOOK OUT ALL THE STAINS. For a third of the price of the professional cleaner! And it’s saved our carpet several times since.

Bissell Little Green Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – This portable carpet cleaner is what allows me to have nice things with kids in the house! If you have rugs, drapes, or upholstered furniture in your home, it’s a must for spot cleaning. Read the reviews; they’re impressive!

Flexispot Adjustable Standing Desk – In my quest to get up from my computer more often, I discovered Flexispot last year. I decided to go with their L-shaped standing desk (which I LOVE—it’s similar to this one, but with a bamboo top), but this model is a good choice for a simple home office setup.

FEBU Swedish Dish Cloths – I use these super absorbent sponge cloths all over my house and love how effective and eco-friendly they are. They come in lots of fun prints and colors but personally, I’m partial to the black because it never shows stains. If you prefer solid colors, I also use the Super Scandi brand in gray. I’ve cut both of these dish cloths into smaller pieces for different uses—they’re so versatile.

Mason Jar Wooden Storage Lids – I prefer one-piece lids when using my mason jars for storage, and these acacia wood lids (complete with airtight seals) make my whole pantry look beautifully organized.

S’well Stainless Steel Salad Bowl – This is my new favorite food container! I bought it a few months ago (not on sale, darn) but it’s worth it even at full price. I like to pack salads to go, and this bowl has a nice big compartment in the bottom for your salad greens, and a smaller compartment on top for toppings and dressing.

Panasonic Flash Xpress Toaster Oven – My parents gave me this toaster oven 15 years ago as a housewarming gift. I tried a fancier one after we moved, but came back to this one. I love the simplicity of it—no unnecessary functions, no extra features to break. It’s small and fits well on our counter, and does everything I need.

Anova Sous Vide – We were gifted this sous vide a few years ago and love it for cooking fish, steak, pork, and other meats to just the right doneness with zero risk of overcooking.

Philips Sonicare Toothbrush Heads – Do you own a Sonicare? I always stock up on replacement brush heads during Black Friday!

Ring Video Doorbell – The entire line of Ring video doorbells, indoor cams, floodlight cams, and spotlight cams are on sale this week if you need a new security system (or want to add to an existing one).

EcoFlow Portable Power Station – Power your RV while dry camping, connect it to a manual transfer switch to supplement your home electricity, or simply be prepared for power outages. This 3600Wh portable generator has 15 output methods (including multiple outlets and a USB fast charger) to keep your devices running.

Sony Bluetooth Speaker – My go-to portable speaker for road trips or just working in the yard. The waterproofness and dustproofness is essential.

Sonos Arc Soundbar – We’ve been researching Sonos systems for our home audio for the past couple years, and we’re finally going to pull the trigger on this soundbar. They just released a new model, so this “old” model is an awesome deal! (The Sonos Beam soundbar is also on sale right now for much less.)

Aura Digital Picture Frame – We bought Aura frames a few years ago for my parents, my in-laws, and ourselves. They’re such a wonderful way to share family photos (we upload new ones through the Aura app, which then appear on all our frames) and the screen resolution is amazing. (My parents had a cheaper frame from another brand, and the difference in clarity and resolution was night and day.) This is the perfect grandparent gift!

DryGuy Shoe Dryer – This compact unit quickly dries your boots and shoes to prevent odor and moisture build-up. It’s small enough to stash in a closet or mudroom, and folds away neatly when not in use.

DryGuy Boot and Glove Drying Rack – Love to play outside? This freestanding or wall-mounted rack can dry a combination of boots, shoes, and gloves using radiant heating. (If your whole family likes to play in the rain or snow, then you might want this larger wall unit. It uses heated or ambient air to dry up to six pairs of shoes, gloves, helmets, jackets, or waders. I own this same model and have it mounted in our garage. It’s an absolutely worthy investment for an outdoor-loving family.)

Other deals I’m loving

Montem Trekking Poles – I took a chance on this brand since I was in the market for new hiking poles, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the build and quality, especially for the price point. (And I’ve previously owned Black Diamond poles.) They’re strong, lightweight, and come in a range of fun colors. I bought the purple ones! (Montem also makes these ultra affordable carbon fiber poles.)

Set of 2 Adjustable Zero Gravity Lounge Chairs – I bought this set a couple years ago during Black Friday, and they’ve become our favorite camping chairs! It’s such an amazing deal for two chairs.

Original XL Bogg Bag – I own large and small Bogg bags as well as a couple knockoffs, and they’re my go-to tote when I need to schlep a lot of things to the lake, to picnics, to my kids’ lessons, and more. These bags are incredibly versatile and practical, and I love that you can wipe or hose them down. This Black Friday deal is insane when you know how much they normally sell for! (The small Bogg is also on sale.)

HotHands Body Warmers – We use the smaller warming packets in our gloves and boots, but I really like these larger packets to put inside vests and jackets. They’re extremely useful for camping (especially to add extra heat in a sleeping bag), taking the dog for a winter walk, snowsports, stadium events, or emergency situations. They also make a lap warmer version!

Welly Bandage Refill Pack – These are my kids’ favorite bandages but I love them too. We buy a new refill pack every year to restock our first aid kits. You get 200 bandages in assorted designs and sizes in this pack.

  1. I’m ordering one of the Aura Digital Picture Frames for Corina. I’ll load it with photos of the grandkids, family, friends, places we have traveled to, and maybe epic camping trips. I’ll set it on her desk early in the morning showing the photos and let it be a surprise for her. She will be super stoked!

  2. I’d love to gift myself a new hedge trimmer 😂 but definitely want to get my parents a power station too!

  3. I just wanted to thank you for the tips on ripening green tomatoes! We are still enjoying garden tomatoes that taste so goooood!!! Always before I would only save the ones that had a blush at least! This year we are watching with amazement as the totally green ones turn red!!

  4. Some gifts for my sons for Christmas and my tineco mop just died 😭 so maybe a shark vacuum/mop for me 😅

  5. Actually I have a question. Will the Barrina full spectrum lights work for growing tomatoes right through to the fruit stage and harvesting stage?

    1. If they’re determinate (patio type) tomatoes, yes. Indeterminate tomatoes would grow too large for these lights to be effective, unless you have several of them. If you go to my post on the best vegetables to grow indoors (https://gardenbetty.com/indoor-vegetables/) I recommend micro tomatoes, which would do really well under lights. (A few micro tomato varieties are linked in that post.)

  6. The Bluetooth remote thermometer and some sensory Christmas gifts for my daughter because she was born deaf back in June 🙂

  7. I thought there’s nothing I want and as I go down this list above, I think I want almost everything on it. LOL

  8. I love the idea of giving a digital picture frame to my parents! I feel bad that they don’t get to see my kids a lot since we live out of state. This would be a perfect way for them to see recent photos!

  9. I’m thinking a boot dryer for my husband (he works outside) and/or a boot and glove dryer for our whole family would be a good addition to our house. We would also get good use out of the deer and rabbit repellent.

  10. I’m definitely hoping to further outfit our emergency supplies, including a solar generator. We’ve already lost power once this season and want to be fully prepared for anything!

  11. I am giving all my kids one of those little clippers you highlighted, though I bought them last time you talked about them. They are the best for just incidental pruning as I mosey about in the yard.

  12. This giveaway would be so helpful to us. We moved to a 35 acre property a little over a year ago from Idaho. This would help with getting a lot of stuff accomplished.

  13. The Swedish fish cloths have been such an amazing addition to the kitchen in the past two years that I can’t live without them! Unlike the cotton cloths I used before which leave residue no matter how well you wring them, these cloths do it effortlessly and last easily over a year with daily use. Couldn’t think of a better present for family this holiday.

  14. My son wants to try growing mushrooms. So, that’s definitely getting a place in Santa’s sleigh.

  15. All the recommendations are great! I’ll choose the leaf mulcher! Love your blog as I am in Bend also

  16. I ordered the Dryguy Boot and Glove dryer for my son who recently moved to Aspen solely based on your Black Friday Deals post. He loves skiing and I know he will appreciate dry boots so he can get back on the slopes faster!

  17. Some great recommendations, I especially want to give the barebones trowel to my gardening neighbors.

  18. We weren’t going to exchange gifts this year, until I saw the Anova Culinary Sous Vide Precision Cooker 3.0 and I knew I had to get my husband one of these! Thank you for all the great ideas! I think I will get myself the Sony speaker – I can keep it in the garden with me while I am out there.

  19. The ECO Flow Power station is one I have been considering as a gift for camping and the house.

  20. I would absolutely love to gift my children with all the tools they need to make sourdough bread.
